Description

  • The mission of the project is to apply a community forestry based model for restoration. And the distribution of carbon revenue to village communities.
  • The project includes three plantation forestry models.
  • 1) Restoration with tree densities of 1,100 plants per hectare of largely native species. These areas would provide non-timber forest products
  • 2) Community areas in which the degraded community land would be planted with native species in order to protect watersheds, collect fodder, and harvest NTFPs.
  • 3) Farm Forestry in which reforestation is with trees that provide fruits and fodder, planted at densities of 1,100 trees per hectare.
